Reflection

This week I continued to focus on painting the birds as realistically as possibly, to the best of my ability. I added feathers to the American Kestrel and plan to add feathers to the Turkey Vulture. I also added the nasal cavity to the Turkey Vulture since they are very prominent in their faces, I thought it would be a nice detail to add instead of having a flat face with painted details. I had to repaint the wings of the Carolina Wren due to improper color usage, so now it is closer to the colors of the actual bird. In the beak of the Carolina Wren I put a toothpick in it to elongate the beak to better represent the length of their beaks. I plan to have the American Kestrel painted for the next class meeting, in order to move on with the project and finalize plans for the displaying of this project.
